Tree Removal

The City of Pacific is requesting itemized quotes by close of business on May 20, 2021 for taking trees down at the locations shown on the attached document. Additional Information:
1. There is a blue arrow on the westerly edge of the road at each tree location. Four of the trees are marked with blue paint.
2. The stumps are to be left at 36-48” above grade.
3. The wood can remain at the current location, on the easterly side of the road. Please do not block driveways.
4. All chips can be delivered to 521 Ellingson Road, Algona, WA.
5. This is a public works project, therefore prevailing wages are required.

Milwaukee Boulevard Minor Widening Ph.3 - Construction Management Services

The City of Pacific, Washington is seeking Statements of Qualifications from qualified consultants to provide full Construction Management Services for the Milwaukee Boulevard Minor Widening Phase 3 project between 3rd Ave S and 5th Ave SE, to include a Resident Engineer, construction inspection, quality assurance, and construction administration/documentation services.

Stewart Road Improvements (Contract No. TR1502) TIB#8-1-117(007)-1

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk for the City of Pacific, 100 – 3rd Avenue SE, Pacific, WA 98047, until 11:00 AM on February 10, 2021, for the construction of the STEWART ROAD IMPROVEMENTS, Contract No. TR1502. No proposals will be accepted after the above-stated time. Immediately following the above-stated time, the proposals will be publicly opened and read.

The work shall be commenced within ten (10) calendar days after Notice to Proceed. All work on this project shall be completed 240 working days, and consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and other work or items incidental theretofore and as generally described as follows:

Clearing, filling, and grading;

Construction of utilities: water, sewer, storm, and miscellaneous conduits;

Coordination with UPRR for the installation of an at-grade crossing;

Construction of retaining walls;

Construction of a traffic signal at Stewart Road SE and Butte Ave SE;

Complete surfacing and channelization.

The Engineer’s construction estimate for this project is $3,500,000 - $4,500,000.

All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid security (bid deposit) in the form of a cash deposit, certified or cashier’s check, postal money order, or surety bond made payable to the City of Pacific, for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid, including sales tax. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory payment and performance bonds within the time stated in the Specifications, the bid security (bid deposit/bond) shall be forfeited to the City of Pacific. The award of the Contract will go to the qualified bidder submitting the lowest responsible bid. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive any informality in the bidding and make the award as deemed to be in the best interest of the City. The City of Pacific, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252,42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color or national origin in consideration for an award. Public Works Equipment Shed Project (PW2001)

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk for the City of Pacific, 100 – 3rd Avenue SE, Pacific, WA  98047, until 11:00 AM on January 27, 2021, for the construction of the PUBLIC WORKS EQUIPMENT SHED PROJECT, Contract No. PW2001. No proposals will be accepted after the above-stated time. Immediately following the above-stated time, the proposals will be publicly opened and read.

This project includes the construction of a repurposed pre-engineered building at the City Public Works Facility located at 224 County Line Road SW. Elements of the project include:
• Grading of site for equipment shed,
• Construction of building foundation,
• Construction of building per modified plans, and
• Other incidentals required to construct and operational system per the project plans and specifications
The Engineer’s construction estimate for this project is $175,000-$275,000.

Public Works Site Electrical Upgrade (PW2002)

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk for the City of Pacific, 100 – 3rd Avenue SE, Pacific, WA  98047, until 11:00 AM on January 26, 2021, for the performance of the PUBLIC WORKS SITE ELECTRICAL UPGRADE, Contract No. PW2002. No proposals will be accepted after the above-stated time. Immediately following the above-stated time, the proposals will be publicly opened and read.

This project includes upgrade to electrical features at the City Public Works Facility located at 224 County Line Road SW. Elements of the project include:

•Installation of an existing generator,
•Providing and installing a new automatic transfer switch,
•Upgraded connection to the PSE power system,
•Providing and installing new panel boards,
•Installation of conduits and cables as shown on the plans,
•Other incidentals required to construct and operational system per the project plans and specifications

The Engineer’s construction estimate for this project is $100,000-$125,000.

LED Street Lights

PSE will be working on a street light conversion in Pacific. This involves replacing the existing street lights with new LED street lights. The new street lights are:
  • more energy efficient (reducing power cost to the City);
  • longer lasting (reducing outages); and
  • whiter in color of light (better night visibility).

 These replacements will occur over the next several months.
